Shipping & delivery
Courier, timelines, and what we stock in Chennai
Do you deliver outside Chennai?
Yes — we ship anywhere in Tamil Nadu and across India. Within Chennai most orders reach you in 1–2 days. Elsewhere in Tamil Nadu is typically 2–4 days, and the rest of India 4–7 days. Bows travel in a hard tube or case; we pack them ourselves rather than leaving it to the courier.
Is the equipment actually in stock, or imported?
Both, and every product page says which. "In stock in Chennai" means it is on our shelf right now. "Available to order" means we get it from an Indian distributor, usually within a week. "Imported" means it ships from abroad, and we show the realistic lead time — normally 4 to 8 weeks. A lot of people assume all archery gear has to be imported. Most of what a club archer needs is not.
Browse what's in stockHow much is delivery?
Accessories and arrows ship free within Tamil Nadu on orders above ₹3,000. Below that it is a flat ₹150. Bows and hard cases are quoted per shipment because of size — we tell you the figure before anything is dispatched, never after.
I need something before a competition. Can you rush it?
Usually, if it is in stock in Chennai — tell us the competition date and we will tell you honestly whether it can be done. During ranking season we prioritise archers with a dated event. If it needs importing and your event is under six weeks away, we will say so rather than take the order and hope.
Can I collect from the shop instead?
Yes, and for anything that needs fitting we would prefer it. Bows, tabs and arrows all shoot better when sized in person, and the fitting does not cost extra. Order through this chat and collect when it is ready.

Draw length, poundage, arrow spine, first bow
What draw weight should a beginner start on?
Lower than most people expect. For an adult starting out, 18–24 lb on the fingers is normal; for a child, 12–16 lb. Starting too heavy is the single most common mistake we see, and it builds form errors that take months to correct. Because our starter bows are takedown, you move up by buying limbs — not a new bow.
How do I measure my draw length?
The quick version: stand with arms out, measure fingertip to fingertip in inches, divide by 2.5. That gets you close. But it shifts once your form settles, and arrows cut to a guess are wasted money — so we measure it properly on a draw-length arrow in the shop before cutting anything.
Which arrow spine do I need?
It depends on your draw length, your draw weight at that length, and the point weight you shoot — not on the bow's marked poundage, which is measured at 28". Tell us those numbers and we will work it out and cut them for you. Arrow spine is the most common thing people get wrong buying online, and a mismatched shaft will never group no matter how well you shoot.
Can I try a bow before buying?
Yes. We keep club bows in the common poundages for exactly this. Come by during shop hours and shoot a few ends — no appointment needed, though a message first means we will have the right sizes out and ready for you.
Recurve or compound — which should I buy?
If you are shooting at school or club level in India, or aiming at Olympic-style events, start recurve — it is what most competition categories here are built around. Compound suits archers who want a mechanical, highly repeatable setup and are training for compound categories specifically. If you are unsure, do not buy either yet; come and shoot both.

Restringing, repairs, tuning, spares
Do you restring bows?
Yes, for recurve and compound, whether or not the bow came from us. Recurve strings are usually same-day. Compound needs a press and is typically next-day. We also build custom strings to your measurements.
What warranty comes with a bow?
Manufacturer warranty applies as normal — generally one year on risers and limbs against manufacturing defects, and we handle the claim with the distributor for you rather than sending you to do it. Damage from dry-firing or from a limb strike is not covered by anyone, but we can usually still repair it.
Can you tune my bow?
Yes. Paper tuning, bare-shaft tuning, centre-shot, brace height, nocking point and tiller — that is core to what we do rather than an add-on service. It is free on anything bought from us and charged modestly otherwise.
Do you stock spare parts?
The parts that actually break, yes: nocks, points, vanes, plunger springs, limb bolts, peep sights, D-loops, string material. If we do not have your specific part we can nearly always source it — send us the brand and model.
Can I return something?
Unused items in original packaging can be returned within 7 days. Cut arrows, custom-built strings and special-import orders cannot be returned, since they are made or brought in specifically for you — we will always flag that clearly before you commit.
Coaching & clubs
Lessons, beginner courses, competitions
Do you offer coaching?
Yes. Beginner courses, individual technique sessions, and ongoing squad coaching for archers competing at district level and above. The shop grew out of the coaching, not the other way round.
About the coachMy child wants to start — what do we actually need?
Less than you would think, and you do not need to buy anything before a first session. When you are ready, a takedown recurve, six arrows cut to their draw length, a tab and an arm guard covers it. We put that together as one fitted bundle so nothing is missed and nothing is oversold.
See the starter bundleWhen are the competitions this season?
State ranking rounds usually begin in September, with district events through October and zonals in November. Exact dates come from the association each year — we keep the current list on the site, and it is worth working backwards from your event when planning any purchase that needs importing.
Competition calendarDo you help clubs and schools with bulk kit?
Regularly. Club sets, school programmes and squad orders get institutional pricing and we will spec the whole thing with you — including how many of each poundage you actually need, which is where most first-time club orders go wrong. Send us your numbers through this chat.
